The Seal, Trumpet, & Bowl Judgments

Satan brought continuous persecution to the saints of God through the Roman Empire and its succeeding powers through the Popes of Rome and the Jesuits of Rome. Satan failed to keep the Messiah from being born and completing his mission. So Satan knowing that his time is short and full of anger he turns his attention to going after God's people and seeking to destroy them. God's answer is to bring judgment upon these powers through the Seal, Trumpet, and Bowl judgments recorded in the book of Revelation. John couldn’t say who these judgments were to be against as that would have invited severe persecution from the current Roman power, so he used symbols to convey the message. John was given the Revelation in 96 A.D., and in Revelation 1:1 Jesus told him that these things would take place shortly.

7 Seals - The Judgement Of The Roman Empire

The Seal judgments depict the rapid rise and then the decline of the Roman Empire in the 1st through the 5th century ad. Satan empowered the Roman Emperor's to conquer the saints, but God crippled the empire through the Seal judgments as a judgment against them. This is a testimony of what would take place with the 4th and final beast of Daniel's prophecy. Daniel gave us great detail about the 1st 3 beasts, but the 4th beast he gave less detail, but said it was dreadful and exceedingly powerful.

Seal #1 - The Spreading Of The Gospel

And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. Rev. 6:2 (The white horse represents the victorious and conquering gospel being spread throughout the Roman Empire in the 1st and 2nd century ad. The gospel of Jesus undermined the power of the Roman Emperors and was this a judgment on the empire. The symbols of the white horse, the crown, the laurel wreathes, and the bow represent the pure gospel of Jesus conquering throughout the empire in victory through spiritual warfare.)

Seal #2 - Civil War

And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. Rev. 6:3-4 (The Red horse represents a bloody time in the Roman Empire in the 3rd century ad as it went into a phase of revolution and civil war. Civil war is a judgment on the empire that further weakens its authority and power.)

Seal #3 - Economic Decline

And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. Rev. 6:5-6 (The Black horse represents a period economic decline, as the Romans suffered under excessive taxes that were needed to pay for wars. The prices for wheat and barley that the Lord decreed were the exact prices from 222-235 A.D. Economic decline was another judgment on the empire to further weaken it.)

Seal #4 - Famine

And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Rev. 6:7-8 (The Pale horse represents 1/4th of Romans dying from famine, plague, pestilence and violence in the late 3rd century ad.  The word ‘earth‘ means land, not the whole Earth.  The Roman Empire is the land/earth of prophecy.)

Seal #5 - Martyrdom

And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. Rev. 6:9-11 (It represents the millions of martyrs who were killed by the Roman Empire, especially the Smyrna church martyrs who Emperor Diocletian persecuted for 10 years, from 303-312 A.D. Their blood is crying out for the Lord to avenge their deaths. These martyrs only further strengthened the resolve of Christians, thus further weakening the empire. The strengthened resolve was another judgment on the empire.)

Seal #6 - Emperor Constantine

And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. Rev. 6:12-14 (Earthquakes in the prophecy represent great political upheavals. Eastern Emperor Constantine defeated Diocletian’s army in 312 A.D., which ended the persecutions. Constantine became sole ruler of both west and east by 324 A.D. The prior leadership hierarchy of the Roman Empire was destroyed represented by the sun, moon, and stars. A new chapter began in the Roman Empire as Emperor Constantine came to power.)

The Sealing Of The 144,000
Revelation chapter 7 speaks of the sealing of the 144,000. What does this mean? The 144,000 is symbolic for expansion of Christianity. The 12 tribes of Israel multiply themselves so 12×12=144. Multiply that by 1000 and you get 144,000. They represent the saints that were persecuted in the great tribulation which occured in the previous seal judgments. This is a celebration of the current successes of God's expanding kingdom on earth. But the future holds difficult challenges ahead.

Seal #7 - A Short Season Of Peace

And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.  (Emperor Constantine changed strategies and in 321 A.D., he made Christianity the state religion. Satan caused Constantine to do this, to create a new way to try to destroy true Christianity. Satan realized that the more he caused the Roman Empire to kill Christians, the faster the Church of Christ grew. So his new strategy was to infiltrate the church and destroy it from the inside. Constantine combined Pagan idolatry with Christianity, forming the foundation of what would eventually become the Roman Catholic Church. They changed the names of idols like Isis to Mary, Jupiter to St. Peter, etc. They changed the Sabbath to SUN-day, because they worshiped the Sun god. This is the harlot, the apostate church, of Revelation 17. The appeal of the prestige and power of Rome caused many Christians to compromise their beliefs. Instead of refusing to align with the Pagan Roman Empire, they joined with them, which was the Falling Away that Paul referred to in 2 Thessalonians 2. This was the foundation of the Roman Catholic Church, which Satan would use to persecute Christians even more relentlessly. After the leadership of the Roman Empire was desolated, our Lord sent army after army to attack and conquer the different areas of the vast Roman Empire. The silence wouldn't last for long.)

7 Trumpets - The Fall Of The Roman Empire

And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets…And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. Rev. 8:1-2,6 (Satan had used the Roman Empire to persecute Christians, until the Lord opened the seals, to cause it to decline. Then He sounded the trumpets, sending many armies to conquer the vast Roman Empire, causing the Western half to fall with the last Emperor to be deposed in 476 A.D. The Eastern half of the empire would follow.)

Trumpet #1 - The Goths Attack

The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. Rev. 8:7 (Hail means war in Bible symbolism, and the Lord caused the Goths to attack the Roman Empire in the beginning of the 5th century, in Greece, Gaul, Spain, and Italy. These judgments one by one continuously further weaken the empire until it falls.)
Trumpet #2 - The Vandals Attack

And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. Rev. 8:8-9 (A mountain in biblical symbolism represents a great nation and a sea is a large group of people. It represents the Lord sending the Vandals to attack the Roman Empire which occurred in the 5th century.)

Trumpet #3 - The Huns Attack

And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. Rev. 8:10-11 (A star in prophecy symbolizes a leader. God sent this great burning star, Attila the king of the Huns. He came from the area around a river in Illyricum which in Greek is called “Apsynthos” (Wormwood). The “rivers” represent the the outer regions compared to the “sea” of the previous trumpet. It is a follow up attack that further weakened the empire..)

Trumpet #4 - The Western Roman Empire Falls

And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. Rev. 8:12 (The Sun, Moon and Stars symbolizes leadership structure. Here it represents God using Odoacer and the Heruli, a branch of the Goths, to cause the downfall of Roman leadership when Romulus Augustalus, the last Roman Emperor (the Sun) of the West was captured in 476 A.D. The hierarchy of Roman leaders (moon and stars) would have lost their power too. This was the deadly head wound on the sixth head of the beast that will later be healed.)

Trumpet #5 - The Rise Of Islam

And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound! And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. Rev. 8:13-9:12 (The 5th Trumpet represents the the rise of Islam in the 7th and 8th century. The falling star was Mohammed. The smoke out of the bottomless pit is the lies of the Koran. The locust were the numerous arab army of Islam. After the Roman Empire fell the Popes of Rome came to power with the Roman Catholic Church in what was formerly the western half of the empire. So now the trumpet judgments will focus on the eastern half to finish it off. The Popes are a continuation of the Roman beast. The Roman church created Islam, but they have never completely controlled them. The 2 parties are the iron mixed with clay in Daniel 2 prophecy of the statues feet. They fight and war against each other. But Islam's true purpose is to be the army of the Roman beast. They wore turbans (crowns of gold); they had beards (faces of men); they had long hair like women; they wore chain-mail (breast-plates of iron); and they were fierce (teeth of lions). From 612-762 A.D., which is 150 years (5 months = 150 days), Islam expanded its territory and religion across the land.)

Trumpet #6 - The Fall Of The Eastern Roman Empire

And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. Rev. 9:13-21 (The 6th Trumpet represents the Lord releasing the Turks to cross over the Euphrates River to conquer what was left of the eastern half of the Roman Empire for 391 years (prepared for the hour and day and month and year, 1 + 30 + 360 = 391) from 1062-1453 A.D. The eastern half of the Roman Empire fell. The Popes of Rome remained to carry on the power of the Roman beast.)

The Little Book
And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. Rev. 10:1-11 (The Little Book of Revelation 10 represents printed Bibles in English and other languages, which John would have called a Little Book compared with the long scrolls he was used to. They were desperately needed as the Catholic Church had banned and burned the Scriptures, and killed those who had them. They were the sweet words of our Lord, but they were bitter because these printed Bibles exposed the Papal Church and caused it to intensify their war against the followers of Christ.)

The 2 Witnesses - Inserted here are the 2 witnesses in Rev. 11:1-14. Click on the link for full analysis of the 2 witnesses and how this sparked the Protestant Reformation which concludes the 6th trumpet.

Trumpet #7 – The Protestant Reformation

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.  And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. Rev. 11:15-19 (What we see here is a great victory for the saints and a great political upheaval. The Protestant Reformation caused the kingdoms of the world to be the kingdoms of the Lord. The people of God separated from the Roman church and pursued the Lord by scripture alone. The little book, the Bible, was spread throughout the world and the former power of the beast was destroyed. A new era of liberation and freedom came upon the world and Christianity grew.)

Revelation 14
This chapter continues with the Protestant Reformation. The 144,000 redeemed from the earth is a symbolic number indicating who, not how many. These were the saved that came out of the Papal church from the Protestant Reformation. Three angels delivered a message. The 1st angel declares the eternal gospel that was preached to the world by the protestant reformers. The 2nd angel declares the loss of power the Papal church suffered from the protestant reformers. The 3rd angel declares the punishment that will be cast on the beast with the coming bowl judgements. Anyone with the mark of the beast or following the beast will suffer from this wrath of God. The harvest then spoken about is further speaking to the mass conversion of the protestant churches separated from those who suffer the wrath of God from the bowl judgments.

7 Bowls - The Punishment Of The Beast

After this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law—and it was opened. Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues. Rev. 15:5-6
(God poured out his wrath on the Roman beast due to their persecution of the saints.)

Bowl #1 - Inquisitions Cause Spiritual Depravity

Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.” The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Rev. 16:1-2 (The 1st Bowl was poured out when the Jesuits caused the foul and loathsome sore of atheism to spread across France. The French Protestants had been killed, so the Catholic religion was all that was left. And the Lord allowed the abomination of atheism to turn the people away from the Papal Church.)

Bowl #2 - French Revolution

The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died. Rev. 16:3 (The 2nd Bowl was poured out as the Jesuits incited the French people to revolt against the Catholic Church leaders and France’s leaders, and their heads rolled. During the French Revolution 250,000 were killed in the very places that the French Protestants had been killed. Water symbolically represents people, here the sea of people represented the people in the large cities being killed.)

Bowl #3 - The Revolution Expands

The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. Rev. 16:4 (The 3rd Bowl was poured out as the bloody French Revolution spread out from the major cities (seas) to the more rural areas (rivers and springs, smaller groups of people) where they had shed the blood of saints and prophets, and now it was time for them to drink the same fate.)

Bowl #4 - Napoleonic Wars

The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him. Rev. 16:8-9 (The 4th Bowl was poured out as the Jesuits caused the bloody Napoleonic wars with countries that had previously banned them, so they were getting their revenge. Our Sovereign Lord used it to exact revenge against the countries that had shed the blood of His followers. But the leaders of the countries did not repent, they blasphemed God for His punishment, and they later came back under Catholic/Jesuit control.)

Bowl #5 - The Fall Of The Roman Popes

The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done. Rev. 16:10-11 (The 5th Bowl was poured out on the seat of the beast, as the office of the Papacy lost their power in 1798 A.D. Shortly after the French Revolution, the Papal States were invaded by French forces, and they removed Pope Pius VI, who died in exile in France in 1799. Their 1,260 year reign was ended by the hand of the Lord, but they repented not. They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and sores of losing their power.)

Bowl #6 - The 3 World Wars

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty. "Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.” Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. Rev. 16:12-16 (The 6th Bowl was poured out to dry up the Ottoman Empire, the people (river) of the Euphrates who had been released during the 6th Trumpet. During the 19th century, they lost control of the territories that they had occupied, such as Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. They lost control of Palestine to Great Britain in 1917 A.D. The Ottoman Empire was dissolved toward the end of WW1 and prepared the way for the kings of the east. The kings of the East are the Ashkenazi/Khazar Jews who took over the Zionist state of Israel in 1948 and now currently control the middle east on behalf of the Jesuits. The 3 impure spirits that looked like frogs are the 3 world wars that the dragon(Rome), the beast(Popes), and the False Prophet(Jesuits) caused to gather the world under their control. World War 1 was in 1914-1918. World War 2 was in 1939-1945. World War 3 is either soon coming or will be seen as the worldwide war on terror. We are currently living toward the end of the 6th bowl. There is only 1 left to come after this one is completed.)

Bowl #7 - The Kingdom Of God On Earth

The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds, fell on people. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible. Rev. 16:17-21 (The great earthquake is the greatest political upheaval ever. This is a new world order. Not the world order the enemy wanted, but the Kingdom of God on earth. The 7th and last judgment on the beast was its final and ultimate destruction of the kingdoms of Satan. This is the stone made without hands that the prophet Daniel foretold would come to crush all the former kingdoms of the world.)

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. Rev. 1:3
