Grow In Knowledge Of God's Word

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is the primary means of communication in which we hear from God. God's word is truth and every input outside of that must be in harmony with what the Bible says. The Bible is a spiritually discerned text. It is full of knowledge handed down to us by the Almighty creator of the universe. Many of the smartest minds of this world have little to no understanding of its words. Yet God reveals himself to those whom he choses. Only by the power of the Holy Spirit within us are we able to rightly divide and understand the word of God. No man can bring you into all truth. You shouldn't seek the guidance of man's faulty understanding. We can consult man's research and understanding, but everything must be brought to the Holy Spirit for confirmation of all truth. Everything on this website is for your consideration only. This website is a compilation of beliefs that I have been led to believe. Take everything to God in prayer and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth. I trust that if you take that approach, that God will help you navigate through all the lies and misinformation out there in the world. There is nothing to fear about being deceived when you have the Holy Spirit guiding you.

Growing the in the knowledge of God's word is a step that will never truly end in this life. But we should seek to understand as much as we can early on in life in order to have a firm foundation in which to draw from as we proceed through this challenging world in which we live. If God's word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, then it might be wise to learn it toward the beginning of our journey as opposed to the end.

Spiritual Growth

We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting, we will do so. Heb. 5:11 - Heb. 6:3

Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings? 1 Cor. 3:1-4

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 1 Pet. 2:2

As we can see, when we begin our Christian walk, we are spiritual infants in need of spiritual milk. But we are to grow up spiritually and not remain where we are. We are to advance our understanding and our faith as we continue along so that we can be fed solid spiritual food and grow to mature Christians.

A Valuable Bible Study Tip

Yes, the Bible is all we need to obtain knowledge for salvation. And yes there are many false doctrines that we must navigate through. But the internet can be a very useful tool if used correctly. Any question that you may have can be entered into a search engine such as google and you can find many commentaries on any given subject. Yes, you will come across bad commentaries, but with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, you will come across many really good commentaries. There are many people that have come before us that have documented their research on the internet that we can draw from their past research. If you have any question at all and enter that question into a search engine, the likelihood of someone having asked that same question before and finding research on it is pretty good. Read it and use your God given brain to reason what is good and what is bad. The Holy Spirit is the key to all of it, but the internet plays a large part of fulfilling the prophecy of knowledge increasing in the last days. The question is: Where is our heart and what are our priorities? The internet is a neutral tool that can be used for good and bad depending upon its user. I encourage you to use the internet and become apart of those that are using it to increase our knowledge of God's word in these last days.
