Lucifer: His Rebellion & His Agenda

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. Isaiah 14:12-15 (This verse tells us what Satan's agenda is. It is to be like and replace God. He seeks to receive the worship that is due to God for himself. He does this by sitting atop the mount of the congregation, or mow'ed, which means sacred assemblies. Satan is going to devise his own counterfeit religion, with its own counterfeit holy days, or mow'eds. This false church will be a counterfeit of the real thing. Obedience to his counterfeit system will direct praise away from God and toward himself. It is about worship which is directly connected to obedience. Has Satan succeeded in this plan? Who do you obey?)

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. Ezek. 28:11-19 (Satan was full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. He was a created being, an anointed cherub, and specialized in music. He was perfect in all his ways until he rebelled against God and sinned. He was permanently cast out of Heaven, down to the earth. His beauty, brightness, and wisdom caused great pride within him, and that lead to his fall from God.)

Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. Rev. 12:7-9 (Satan has his army that follows him, they are here on earth wrecking havoc and with a mission to rob God's people of their eternal destiny and rewards.)

Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus. Rev. 12:17 (Satan was and is full of anger for being cast down to the earth until his appointed time is up. His purpose is to now wage war against the people of God while he only has a short time.)

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Gen. 3:6 (Remember that Satan's temptations and deceptions do not appear as evil and bad, but instead as good, pleasing, and desirable. Beware as most people don't believe they are deceived because they picture Satan as a red being with devil horns, a pitch fork, and appearing as evil in every way. This is NOT what the word of God teaches.)

And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 2 Cor. 11:14 (Again, don't be deceived into thinking that Satan is easily identifiable as evil. That's not what the Bible teaches.)

This is what we are up against. Whether we know it or not, Satan and his army is at war against us. He is out to destroy us and rob us of our eternal destiny and rewards. We must be aware of this and the tactics that are being used against us. This is what the Bible teaches. We have an enemy and he is very angry. You can either fight the war and overcome or you will be defeated. We need to wake up to the deception around us and repent. To not realize or acknowledge this war against us is to be deceived already.
